1:45am - The Venue

Me & my mates used to all head down to The Venue in Manchester every Friday night. Dj Leo played an indie set, and apart from playing the same songs at the same time every week - it was ace! This one always reminds me of us all dancing to Joy Division in the last 15 minutes of the night. He used to cram in the Joy Division before everyone piled off to the chippy, then catching the bus home. LOL!

The poet at the beginning and end is a Manchester poet called John Cooper Clarke. The verse he's rattling off is called "Chicken Town". We used to play that at home and laugh, and tease my Dad that it sounded like him. hhehehehe
