Congratulations & Celebrations

Happy times for the Captain & Mrs O. who recently married in the British Virgin Islands.

The Captain is M's brother, and Mrs O. is the lovely new bride.

We're all down here in, "well I went to school in...", Olympia celebrating. It's 80 degrees, the bouncy castle has arrived, there's a cooler full of Rum & Red Stripe and the taco's are about ready - mmm mmm - now that's a recipe for a good time.

Skate>>Bowl Skillz

Wenatchee's In The Area

It's been quite the month for catching up with old great friends. This weekend the Wenatchee's arrived in town. It's been 4 years since we last saw them. We snail-mail each other, call on the phone - but no eyeball contact, so we we're really excited to see our fave family.

We all head-down to the farmers market ...

It's a hot one, so J cools himself down with cheese...

We stop for potraits ... J

And .. J ...

Then head down the skatepark around the corner ...

After showing skills, it was ice-cream time ...

We spent the afternoon relaxing, and the kids drew ...

Then it was off to the beach for a picnic ...
Good times as the sun went down ...
Until I got called into work ...
Issue resolved, we drank some beers and slapped Led Zep on the turntable...
Next day we all went sightseeing. View from Stanley Park ...

Chinese Gardens, In Chinatown ...

And enjoyed some lunch at Granville Island ...

What a great weekend!!!

Sunshine Coast

We had a great day/night out on the sunshine coast visiting our friends Mr Wood & Ms SciFi. They are 2 of our very nice friends who recently moved out to the Sunshine Coast. Mr Wood was an animation director who got sick of computers and went out there to learn the ways of the wood. Fell in love with the place a great home in the woods.

Catching the BC ferry ...

We catch epic view of the North Shore Mountains (Vancouver) ...

We arrived a little early, so we explored...

And relaxed on the beach ...

Watching the world through my dark sunglasses...

Our friends met us and we head over to their house ...

Where we enjoyed a great afternoon relaxing on the beach, and a fab bbq in their yard ...

After a great visit, the best nights sleep ever - we headed back to the ferry terminal ...

Only to run into my friend .. Mr Mateer Paneer ...

We enjoyed the commute back with Ms SciFi ...

Ahhh, epic commutes ...

Truly epic wilderness, 20 mins out the city...

The School Disco

When I was around 10 years old we had a school disco. Everyone was asked to bring one 7" single that the teacher would play. After an hour or so of Abba, Boney-M, Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs soundtracks the teacher announced ... "This next song is by KormaCurry". The stellar opening riff of Pretty Vacant blasted through the assembly hall, and suddenly my choice felt soooo out of place. I stood in there frozen - super embarrassed, super excited as everyone stared at me in total confusion ... LOL. Oh well, that what you get for having kool older brothers ... HAHAHHAA

I love this footage. I consider it one of the most exciting Top Of The Pops performances ever. Dang good.

Dirty Rotten Tealeaf - Busted

You might remember, sometime ago I mentioned that I had my wallet stolen. Well justice caught up with this thief (tealeaf) and the police now have him. I head ed down to the station today to give a statment.

Come Around Anytime

This is the kind of guest I like. After enjoying a few glasses of wine, Mr T decides he shouldn't be relaxing but cleaning our stove instead. Dude, come around anytime. LOL.

Robo Floor Sweeper

Why bother swiffering your hardwoods when you can get this robot to do it whilst you watch TV. This guy who's selling them @ Richmond Night Market has one at home.

Tour De Cascadia

Good times this weekend. Chicago Style & his lovely girlfriend Ms.Basque cycled into town from Seattle. Wow! That's like 100's of miles - impressive.

It's been about 1.5 years since we've seen Chicago Style and as always it was great to see him "Awwww, yeahhhh!". We all had a great night catching up and getting to know Ms.Basque.

After various refreshments we headed down Commercial Drive to our fave Cuban restaurant - Havana. A great meal indeed. Thanks C.S.

Strolling back up the Ave we caught the last of the Vancouver firework competition. After oooohing & ahhhing we headed over for some gelato, well you have to have some energy for the walk home :). Munching away we headed back to the homestead having a rather nice chat. Good times.

When are you 2 coming back? Come on up!
